can someone give me a little insight here please?

Hi all this is my first post here so please bare with me.:)

I have been diagnosed with ehlers danlos, autonomic dysfunction and pots.

Since Feb this year I have had tingling in my left hand along with pain and other symptoms like headaches, vertigo, hyperaccusis. I have had cervical mri which showed minimal bone spurring and thoracic mri to check for thoracic outlet syndrome which came back fine. So they now have shrugged their shoulders and are sending me off for physio which I do not need as it is rubbish in the UK. So basically fobbed off and discharged.

The thing is is the ball of my left foot is numb also which doesn't react to pinpricks - this has been numb for months. The docs said when I first noticed it 'if you haven't noticed it before then it cant be significant' (what a joke). I also notice a pulsating electrical feeling on the top arch of my ankle esp at night.

Then over the weekend my cat dug its claws in my arm and I noticed that I didnt feel it so I grabbed a pin and tested it myself and at certain points along my arm I really cannot feel a thing despite digging hard with the pin. So how long this has been going on for I do not know (if my cat hadn't of scratched me I would still be none the wiser). I can rub my arm and I feel it but I just cannot feel the pin.

I also have a sunken vein on the thumb side of my arm when I raise it and if I follow that vein with a pin it has no feeling at all.

Is this important or should I just brush it under the carpet and hope that it improves?

Many thanks, Lou

Not sure if I made myself clear in what I was asking in the first post but could this be PN?

Any form of tingling, pins and needles or areas of numbness can be P/N.
Do you have any burning sensations in the affected areas?

Only in my left hand - feels like heat inside rather than pins and needles. My foot I am totally unaware of unless I touch it and have no feeling.

A couple of years ago I had really bad burning in both feet but I put it down to blood pooling in my legs.

I do get burning pain on my skin but in other parts of my body ie stomach/rib area that lasted approx a week, and have had it on my hip area too, back of my legs - it felt like I had raw skin and was very painful to sit down when I had it there.

It could be PN, but we're not doctors.

Whether it is PN or not, there are some things you could try that wouldn't/couldn't hurt anyway (and may help). Check out the B-12 STICKY Thread and the PN Tips, Resources, Supplements & Other Treatments Sub-Forum at the top of this forum.
