MS SYmptoms and no diagnosis

I am new to this site, am I am glad to be here. It shows that I am not alone. I have been suffering terribly from multiple symptoms for over 4 years now. I am a 46 year old woman that was extremely active, a police officer for 11 years and a mother of 2. In 2008, I became seriously ill and weak. It developed into a severe and chronic case of pneumonia. I ended up leaving law enforcement and goinig from hospital to hospital. Eventually, one doctor did a test and it came back positive for EBV. Since 2008, I have been getting worse. I have seen 3 neurologists and one has been testing my symptoms for the past 2 years. In an MRI in '09 it showed a 3mm punctate focus of T2 hyperintensity seen on the FLAIR, axial and sagittal images located in the posterior parasagittal right frontal lobe. There is also a poorly marginatedarea of T2 hyperintensity seen in the central aspect of the upper pons extending to the base of the left cerebral peduncle which measures 17 x 11 mm. I have no idea what this means and I am not sure how to search it. I asked my neurologist and he seemed to "go around the question" and gave me the impression that he doesn't want me to research. I am desperate for a diagnosis. I have been tested for MS, Myasthenia Gravis, Epilepsy, Narcolepsy and so much more. I am frustrated and don't know where to go from here. If you know what this stands for I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups!

You mention positive EBV. I take that to mean Epstein Barr Virus? My daughter had/has that. Affected her greatly.

I can't comment on the radiology report I'm sorry. Sounds as if you've been given the run-around by your treating doctors.

Here's the link to the MS Forum here. They're a really great group of people.
I'm sure if you repost your message over there as well, you may get more responses. NeuroTalk Multiple Sclerosis Forum

Hello,

Could you talk more about the symptoms you've had?
