Sharing some good news
I have always had to take something to sleep due to my pain. I wanted so badly to not have to take it. They varied from Ambien to OTC unisom.
A few weeks ago I was determined to find some non-pharmacuetical relief. I decided to try guided meditation for sleep. IT WORKS!!!!! I think possibly the voices help me not to focus on the pain. Also keeps my mind from wondering on a 100 different subjects. Needless to say I am very happy about this. Just thought I would share incase anyone else may be interested. Hopeful:D |

I think there is great untapped healing power in the mind that I hope mainstream medicine will better explore. Dr. Andrew Weil and Dr. Martin Rossman have a pretty good guided imagery CD set called "Self-Healing with Guided Imagery." You may be able to check it out from your library. I can't say it has helped me to heal but it is relaxing and fun to listen to.

I am not at home right now but I will post the names. I actually downloaded them to my IPOD and listen to them that way. Hopeful
