Needle EMG Studies in the US- who does this?

Hello,

I live in Canada. Here only specialized MD's can do needle EMG studies. I would like to go to the US to get a thorough job done. Can physical therapists do this This? Do you know about how much a visit to a Neurologist in the US would cost?

My neurologists office has one neuro whom does all of their needle EMG's. I am on Long Island, NY.

Most large neurology practices--
 

--have at least one neurologist who does nerve conduction and EMG studies, though the skill and interpretation varies considerably form person to person/office to office.

Some physiatrists and orthopedists in specialized practices also do them.

Dr. G? If so we go to the same office.:)

JB63..do you go to South Shore Neurology? If so, yes, Dr. G, I believe is his name.

I second Bob's (nide44) recommendation. Hopkins has an excellent Neuro dept.
