My good news...
My dr. took me off aricept today when I told her how much better I feel. :D
She said that aricept does not show results in 3 months time so she knows that my improvement is from the tranquilizer she prescribed at the same time. My cognitive testing showed no dementia. She said when you watch someone you love (my Dad) on that downhill slide, it makes a lasting impression on you. She feels that I have had untreated depression for years and wants me to take this tranquilizer for the rest of my life. She gave both Mr.Alffe & me a flu shot and said, "stop thinking about alzh. and go enjoy your life." I am so grateful for the support you all have shown me and of course I thank the Man Upstairs too. :grouphug: |
This is wonderful news. I am so glad for you Alffe!

Such wonderful news, Alffe. :) Isn't it amazing how a few simple words from the doctor can impact us so strongly? Both ways. I'm so thankful for your "undiagnosis". :)

That is great news!! I had just read your PM, and then stopped over here to see what's going on, and I found this good news!! I'm sure that you are very relieved!
Speaking of Alzheimers, my Dad started on that path a few years before he passed away at the age of 89. He has a younger brother who is really taking a major hit from Alz, too. He is to the point that he really can't be left alone anymore, so his son has gotten a home health aide to stay with him everyday. It's been really hard on his children and the rest of the extended family. Enjoy yourself!! :hug: |
Is it okay that I tossed away my crutches to do a happy dance?!?!?
Such GREAT news just what I needed to hear today!!:hug: |
Oh, oh, oh -- what joyous news. Oh, dear Alffe, I don't want to learn that your have depression but I am so glad to learn there's no alz.
Praise God! |
((((Alffe)))) you know how happy I am for you:hug:
Just had to say it again!:) |
What a relief that must be for you, Alffe.
That's just the best news to read this morning. :hug: |
Oh Wow! :Dancing-Chilli::Head-Spin:
I have just woken up here in the Land of Oz, and this was the first thing I saw! What a fantastic way to start my day. Thank you to Mrs Alffe's doctor for putting such a huge smile on my day. Congratulations Alffe and YAHOO! :yahoo: |
I just love you all for supporting me through this. Thank you again....and now, I can get back to concentrating on suicide! (wait...that didn't sound right!):D
Mr.Alffe and I are walking this Sat. for suicide awareness and I have no excuse not to get active again in the support group. Hugs for the room. :grouphug: |
