How can I change the way the top of Firefox looks

Hi all.

On my last computer which had XP, and when I viewed Mozilla, the top line was all across the top of the screen.

This time it's completely different and it's not clear enough for me. How exactly do I change (in the settings and personalization) option, well what do I select to change the colors of the fonts, etc.?

This is windows 7 and it's COMPLETELY different than XP.

I wish I could go back to XP.

lol

I know it changed quite a bit-

try going to View in FF menu bar & then Customize -
in that apt you can drag the Home button & any other button to where you want it.

Also if you want bookmarks to have a special place showing click the bookmarks option in that same drop down menu area.
I un-clicked the Tabs on Top also- I didn't like the look that way.

If you try something and don't like it just change it back or the customize area has a Default - button will put it all back to original.

Did you look at those links for how to make 7 look more like XP ?
on the other thread?

I don't care for Vista's looks either - when I go to work on my aunts laptop LOL I wish I could change it....

Well, right now there is a big pop up thing from HP telling me to Check my HP Warranty Status. and I selected an option and clicked on OK but it won't go away. Hopefully, after I sign off it WILL go away.

Oh my god, another new computer, with NEWER problems.

I'm moving to Amish Country.

Oh My God, I don't even want to go near the thing.

LOL

I do have many cd-rw (they are over 8 years old). they are blank cd things that you burn stuff to.

I wonder if I can still use these.

Do you have to use a particular cd thingee to make recovery discs.

OH MY GOD, it was bad enough trying to copy Mozilla bookmarks on this contraption, now Melody is making Recovery discs.

ROFL.

P.S. Do you know how peaceful it is to walk into my kitchen, make some chicken and a potfull of greens and some fresh carrots and then use my Vitamix to make sorbet?

You have no idea!!

well you can always try them to see if it works or not - it should tell you if they won't work.
It may pop up a screen saying wrong format or not DVD r/w etc.

Hi Jo:

When I feel like experimenting again, I'll go over to the drawer, take some out, write down exactly what they are, and post here. Then you can say "yay, they are the right ones", or NAY, go out and buy this kind, etc."

I learn from you a great deal my dear.

lol

It really depends on what your cd/dvd drive needs - or maybe the newer ones can use the + or - dvds.

just pop one in and try to burn your restore disks - it will tell you if it isn't the right type. It will probably tell you what type it needs..

It might be in your manual or the specs section of your new computer info.
Or even on the HP website under the product/serial/model #.

You should register it on the HP site too and bookmark that page of later, it just handy to have it.

I think I registered this computer when I first turned it on. I had to fill out forms, my name, my email, etc. and click send. I had to go to the computer guy the second day I had this thing. I'm learning all new stuff about this computer.

I just learned I have BLIO and it's an e-reader. Just downloaded my first book (free).

Vegetarian cookbook.

you gotta love this!!

lol
