Been a while!

I haven't been on here in a while since my computer was down for repair. But I'm finally back now.

I have still been continuing to get new symptoms. My neuro is worried about the possibility that I have progressed to SPMS. We talked about switching from Rebif to Tysabri but she is really worried about the problems that could cause. I'm one of those that if there is a one in a million chance of getting a weird side effect from a medicine I will get it. So we are still keeping the option there, but trying to avoid it if at all possible.

Within the last few days my trigeminal neuralgia has gotten to the point where I was taking Advil every four hours to help take the edge off. Along with the Tegretol that they recently upped for me. It has been a rough weekend and my house shows it!

My legs are getting worse again, I might have to get my walker back out. Actually I'm being stuborn, I should have got it out a while ago, I know I'm just being silly and I should use it. But I can't seem to help but think "I'm only 26, I shouldn't be using a walker" and I hate the way people treat me when I use it!

My husband and I are going back on our diet, we both need to lose weight. We just have to stick to it and we both lose weight, we've done it before. I just have to have the energy to do all the planning because he's too busy with all of his work.

But on the bright side, my daughter is in first grade and loving being back at school! My kids are growing up so fast!

Okay I think I'm done venting, thanks for letting me ;) I hope everyone is doing as good as possible!

Good to see you back! Sorry for the new challenges you're facing. Never a dull moment for those of us with MS! Good luck on your diet. I've given up trying to "diet". I'm just trying to make healthier choices and if the weight disappears, too, then that's just a bonus.

Yeah, darn MS, every time I start to get used to my current symptoms some new ones pop up! grr

Yeah, we do more of a eat healthier aproach than a diet aproach. But we both need to lose about 60 pounds each! Thank you for wishing us luck!

Welcome back News. Happy to hear that your computer is behaving, even when your MS decides to give you grief. It's always something, huh.

Which Med? No Med? There is no real true treatment for the disease itself, just a few bandaids to, perhaps, lessen attacks and slow it up a little. Darn Big Pharma. I wish the'd get serious and find us a cure or at least something to make us feel better instead of worse.

Let us know what you decide to do and please feel better..
