relief from constant atypical pain? acupuncture?
i have atypical TN, has anyone got relief from the constant burning pressure? any tips are welcome. I've been told to try acupuncture a few times, but my father seems against it (he is a retired ex- medical detective). I was wondering if anyone has had acupuncture and felt significant relief.

I go to acupuncture every other week. If anything it gives me a time to relax and for a few hours after i feel very calm. I have heard you need to continue to go for it to work but the one i go to they focus on your whole body/breathing in order to relieve the TN pain. I recommend it just from my experience with it. I don't know if it's helping the TN or if its my medicine but I will say I have felt better since I started it.
Good Luck! PS .. i asked about this before and someone told me you really have to like where you go to because the acupuncturist makes a huge difference. The first place i went to was awful and chose to try another place which i now love. so give it a few shots! |
I know of many people who have it done to help lessen the pain and like Sadie mentioned to let go of stress relax . its best to go regularly . You should try it.

Good luck with finding an acupuncturist you can relax with. And, no, there is no pain involved. Many are against it because it is not the normal approach to feeling better. |
