Compliment from work
Today I opened my office mail before I am off to Phila and found the following message. Just what I needed. But it is still a killer driving.
"Carlos writes: Hello Dianne, I met with Manny on Monday, and I wanted to relay a part of the conversation that was about you. I was happy to tell him about how well you have been doing. Not only have you maintained a strong effort to get to difficult regions & locations, you have shown an improvement that is truly unmatched this year by other staff: your persistence in developing on PD (property dmg) claims has been a pleasure to observe. We hope you will keep up the improvement, and I thank you for the effort you have put forth thus far. Sincerely, Carlos" "Manny writes: Excellent Dianne...thank you...Carlos' compliments dont come easy.....I appreciate your coming through for us. Accounting : $15.00 claims manager's bonus Lyndee, take note." "Dianne has been doing well and a compliment from Carlos is a great compliment. Lyndee" |
That is so nice to hear! thanks for sharing....although we knew already that you are wonderful and hard working, a terrific asset in which ever area you work, home family, etc.

Oh, that's wonderful Di, congratulations! I am so glad your customers (claimants?) have you on their side. I've seen all of those videos on TV of the flooded regions, and the look on those peoples' faces says it all. Believe me, I have been there, and it's AWFUL! :(
Kudos to you :winner_first_h4h: !! Hey, can I ask you a professional question?? My Homeowner's Insurance Claim is still open as they still have to reimburse me for the depreciation of the replacement items I had to buy, including rebuilding the house, which they really low-balled us on. Any ideas - can you shed any light on the process? I mailed the claims adjuster all of my paperwork, including the contract from the builder for the re-building costs, and he received it the Friday right before Irene hit. Haven't heard from him since, is that a good thing or a bad thing?? ;) Again, congrats, and be careful driving!! And when the day is done, relax and have a great week-end ! :sunchair: |

Jacquie, You are likely a victim of an overwhelming amount of claims from Irene and the flooding of Lee. I would make a call if you do not hear anything by mid day on Monday for a staus update. They do not like adjusters that are not prompt. If they can finalize your claim, then get on to the other new ones. I dislike when insurance companys low ball game, we do not work that way, As a third party adjuster we give the insurance companys the fair replacement, or fair depreciation. No games. I don't work the final number crunching, the office has certified adjusters that do that with software they have. So there is a lot I do not know about the property claims, all new to me. In the field I do the site measurements, document the dmg, inventory's, work the clean up cost, gather reports, out of pocket cost and hire contractors I need to access when needed. Ex: in a flashback, smoke through the entire mansion in the Pocono's, I needed an HVAC to diagx why it happened. Gee, I always thought that with a total loss it was the replacement value to rebuild that you carry. If our home cost $75,000 to build and now it is $135,000 twenty years later; I would still get my policy I carry ins for I think $149,000 to cover the replacement for the structure. I never asked but thought the entire $149,000 came to me? heck, if you wanted to buy a new home instead of rebuilding, wouldn't the check come to do with as you desire? Contents for my home, I have a set amount...Since doing this job; One thing I do every New Year, take a video of the rooms. If I buy a new appliance or electronic, etc I take a photo of the item and model no., the reciept and warranty's. I burn a DVD, keep a copy in a safe deposit box, one at my son's. I am afraid to open the office email. I had three more calls on top of two this weekend to do. Two are total losses from flooding to businesses. Glad it was not someones home. |
Congratulations, DiMarie!!!!!
And i know it is well deserved... just so glad you are getting the recognition from those to whom your efforts go! waves |
Well I hope they are also paying you well for your efforts, you deserve to be rewarded for your hard work.:You-Rock:

I had a $1 an hr raise this spring Bizi. 17.00, which is $5 more then I made as a cop...
They bill heavier for the difficult cases. The extra work from the storms is keeping the pay higher then usual. I use to be happy with an extra $100 a week. Now it seems like I need $250. The extra right now is gravy for the slow weeks. That keeps me below the SSD limits for affecting my disability, and the last time I heard from them I had no improvement in my disability and no affecting qualifying quarters. SSD is only $550 a month. I earned $408.00 and $255.50 mileage for the 710 miles, for three days this week. Oh, how my back hurts...just to walk, or stand. So glad dh did the driving for me. |
Dear Di,
I can't believe how little they pay officers!!!!! I think our country needs to reevaluate how we pay those people in service areas including our military. Hope your back feels better by tomorrow morning. You need a message therapist in your family! ((((HUGS)))) bizi |
Roof damage today...barely could walk. Tomorrow are two buildings with flood damage, a fire company and building that houses a Post Office. They are totaled, it is getting very depressing. Younger son is going to start his training as a licensed Massage therapist :) |
