Anyone's dog have megaesophagus?

My little dog Tater has had Megaesophagus ever since I have had him....a little over five years now. I just wondered if anyone else is dealing with this with their dog?

Hi there booklass. I'm sorry your Tater has gone through so much. It must be very intensive therapy to help him be nourished and also costly for vet fees and medications as needed.

I looked up some canine sites.
One of them was
.

Not sure how common this would be?

I wish you and your Tater all the best. It's so difficult when our beloved pets have such illnesses. I'm sorry.

Thank you, Lara

Thank you, Lara, for the link. I have not been to that particular site before. Yes, the process of feeding and medicating the little stinker is lengthy, but he is worth it. He's pretty much my shadow. If you saw him, I doubt that you would know how potentially sick he is on a regular basis. He's usually a happy, bouncy little guy. However, I am aware that I could lose him at any time. Yes, he is quite expensive, and that is really the hardest thing for us since we are a one income family, but what can you do? Anyway, I appreciate the link.
