Pain in inner thigh

Between crotch and knee. This started a week or so ago. I thought it was a pulled muscle but it is a stabbing, burning pin to poker pain. kind of the way I assume a hernia would feel. Seems more nerve than muscle. comes and goes completely. My first fear is another blood clot but I googled and found this thread. http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Neurolo...2...apparently lots of folks suffer from this and again most doctors are clueless. could also be another fibromyalgia pain spot. Any thoughts.

Here is a diagram of the nerves in the area you mention:

You can enlarge this image with control + mouse wheel.

The nerves are in yellow, and if you look at the emergence of them from the abdomen, you can see a strain or stricture may compress them.

I'd try some ice there if you have strained something doing your job or exercise. As we get older, tissues get less elastic and a strain happens more easily.

Like so many other pains and symptoms it suddenly disappeared. So I will not worry about it.
