Hi, I have had my scs implant for 2 years now.For the past week or so I have had mild swelling and alot of pain around my battery pack.Has this happened to anyone else? Any info would be appreciated.

Hi - I would definitely see my doctor about this -- it almost sounds like you've developed an infection in this area. Why, I cannot say especially after this length of time. But definitely see your doc -- he can run a CBC to determine if your white blood count is elevated, indicating an infection.

Best of luck & keep us posted. God bless. Hugs, Lee

Mandy -

I agree with Leesa. Contact the doctor tomorrow (Monday). Swelling and pain are both signs of infection. It's better to be safe and have them check it out. Hopefully, all you need is some antibiotics. I had emergency surgery due to an infection in my neck/throat a few weeks ago. It first surfaced as mild swelling and mild pain. Are you running a fever?
