Brown Recluse spiders in my home!!
 

Maybe this isn't the right place to post this, but I guess they count as 'wildlife', yes?

I've got a problem with these things. They are common here in the midwest where i live. We've caught about a dozen of them using those glue traps. Just awhile ago one was on the couch sitting next to my SON! :eek:
I am so shook up my hands are shaking and i can't hardly type this!

Besides the glue traps, I had a terminix guy spray a month ago, but it has had no effect except to kill bugs that the spiders FEED off of!
I'm going to get some of those lime green hedge apples to set around the house but if it still doesn't help, I want to move OUT

Does anybody have problems with these highly dangerous things?
Can anybody offer any insight?

Are you sure they are recluse? We have lots of spiders too, and never have seen a recluse. The wolf spiders do come in and hang with people. I had one jump on the couch near me one year!

A recluse has a special shape on its back. Usually they live under stuff..under carpets, in garages, and don't come out when there is noise, light and activity.

I had a terrible spider bite years ago on vacation. It turned black and swelled up and hurt, etc. The doctor there did conservative treatment, with Zithromax, atarax and steroids and it cleared up, but took a long time for the pain to go away (on my ankle bone).
I got it on a night sitting on the dock watching shooting stars!
It wasn't a recluse, but the venom was pretty bad as it was.

Just be very careful with spiders. There is a battery operated suction device that will suck them up!

Recluses are very common here in the midwest. To be double sure, I looked thru magnifying glass to make sure the 'violin' marking was there and compared to the photos online. Also the insecticide man confirmed it when he saw one in my trap.

We've been battling these things for over 6 months :(
