thoracic bone spurs Response's Requested
Ok, am suffering something awful with thoracic bone spurs, and a tiny syrinx.
Doc's say the tiny syrinx could not be my problems. My symptoms are. Severe pain in shoulders elbows. My ankles hurt bad as well. I do have twitching under my arms at times. I suppose the worst is the severe tenderness, I dread taking a shower at times, it hurts so bad for the water to hit me. I also have trouble with frequent bathroom breaks, 1 & 2 Now starting to have eyesight trouble. Very hard to raise arms above my head. Hips sometimes hurt badly. Severe numbness in lap part of legs along with buttocks, and both arms along with little fingers on both hands. I have been depressed, and over that now, but my quality of life is near 30%. I have always been active, with flea marketing, yard sales, buying and resaleing. I am overweight, however its getting worse due to not able to exercise. I do take pain meds, only to find it helps for just a short while, my doc is a good one, and would up my meds, but I don't want to turn into a zombie. Am going for another MRI, I have also been through the entire run around. I have been tested for nearly everything, spinal taps, the whole nine yards. Would love to discuss this with some others. Thanks so much, as this is playing a role on my marriage, and everything else. Gary |
Are the spurs large and impinging on things?
Or will the new MRI clarify if they really are the problem or not? No C spine spurs? C spine issues usually affect the hands & arms, but could some of those arm sx be from any kind of repetitive work injuries? If that is a possibly see our Thoracic Outlet Syndrome forum (TOS for short) Possibly an expert & highly skilled chiropractor might be of some help, even if only for an evaluation/opinion, but get the MRI results first.. some interesting links- http://www.nismat.org/ptcor/thoracic_outlet http://www.upcspine.com/self.htm |
Yep, the New MRI, should clearify some of the questions.
What do you contribute the tenderness, it is very bad at times, cannot stand to be touched. I thank you so very much for answering me, I am at my wits end, and don't where to turn, some folks may not understand the pain I am in. Gary |
The extreme tenderness & hypersensitivity might be fibromyalgia or possibly RSD -also called CRPS???
but I'm totally guessing - it could be other things also, but those are ones I've read about more on the forums here. I'm sure they checked your thyroid with the blood work, it can cause increased pain /symptoms if imbalanced. Another thing to look at might be chronic myofascial pain (CMP) http://homepages.sover.net/~devstar/define.htm Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum12.html Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD and CRPS) http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum21.html TOS forum useful sticky thread- http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/thread84-3.html |
