Living Well Challenge™ Webinar With New Webisodes

Davis Phinney Foundation Extends Popular Living Well Challenge™ Webinar With New Webisodes on Living Well With Parkinson's Disease

The Foundation Invites All People Affected by Parkinson's Disease to "Take the Challenge" --

BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Davis Phinney Foundation (www.davisphinneyfoundation.org) announced today that it is offering the first of three bi-monthly webinar episodes as part of its expanding Living Well Challenge™ educational series focused on ways to live well with Parkinson's disease.

In June 2011, the Living Well Challenge debuted with a multi-topic webisode featuring a panel of leading movement disorder experts that presented information on exercise, (confirm/modify with 1-2 more topics). The Foundation received such a positive webinar response from the Parkinson's community that it committed to extend the series indefinitely, beginning with a new webisode featuring movement disorder neurologist and researcher Holly Shill, M.D., medical director of Banner Sun Health Research Institute. In this webisode, which runs approximately 30 minutes in length, Dr. Shill will present a comprehensive overview of current Parkinson's research and what it means for people living with the chronic disease.

The three new Living Well Challenge webisodes include:

"What Does Parkinson's Research Mean to You?" Holly Shill, M.D.; Available: October 5, 2011
"How to Communicate with Your Doctor" Janet Chance, M.D.; December 1, 2011
"Panel Discussion on Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Therapy" Melissa Houser, M.D.; February 1, 2012

Such weird terminology!

Webinars? We didn't even have words like that BC (before computers). And now we have "webisodes." This is too funny.

But seriously, this sounds like an interesting topic. Davis Phinney does good work. He has a video made by Medtronics of his DBS surgery - it's free and very informational.

Maybe that will be "webformation" lol
