?? About California State Disability

I was wondering if anyone has been on Californias State Disability and returned to work at a reduced work schedule. Do they continue to pay you benefits if you return to work less hours than you worked prior to your disability?

I have 3 months to go before i return to work after just going back out, but my neurologist already said she wont approve me to work any more than 3 - 8 hour shifts a week when i return in January. I was working 36 hours a week which is considered full time.

Will state disability give me payment on the other 12 hours i will be missing? I'm already scared about the permanent reduction in hours i will be working when i go back and not sure if i will be able to pay my bills.

I checked the Calif EDD web site at http://www.edd.ca.gov/disability/DI_...ime_Worker.htm

It says:

<Reduced Hours

If your work hours must be reduced as the result of a disability, and you suffer a wage loss due to being unable to perform your regular or customary work for at least eight consecutive days, you may be eligible to receive Disability Insurance benefits.

You may receive benefits as long as you have at least $300 in gross wages in your base period, are suffering a loss of wages, and meet other basic eligibility requirements.>

Sounds like you should be able to collect some partial benefits.
