New to the Forum...Here for my Dad
Hello! I'm brand new to this forum. My dad recently suffered a diffuse axonal brain injury as a result of a car accident, so I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this injury as well as next steps. He is still in the CCU at the trauma center he was airlifted to 11 days ago. However, we have been told that this coming week, the staff will begin to evaluate him to assess the type of facility (LTAC, rehab, etc...) that he should be moved to. I'm hoping to learn from others about some of the questions and considerations me and my brothers and mom should be cognizant of as we start this long journey.
Thanks! KT |
