Boot help please!

I have CRPS in my right leg/foot, and Raynaud's Disease in all hands/feet. I need to find affordable boots that.....
a) zip/tie up (can't slide anything on)
b) are super warm & dry
c) have good support, but not crazy arch support (I am most comfortable in Converse, if that provides any clarification)
d) are black if possible

I live in Vancouver, BC so cold rain is the issue, not snow. Here winter greets you with that kind of wet cold that chills you to the bone, not that preferable snowy, dry cold I was used to in the eastern part of the country.

I need to be able to wear the boots all day long, inside and outdoors. I wear skirts, skinny jeans and wider calf jeans, so they need to be accommodating of those factors.

Any tips, experiences welcomed!

Alice

I was thinking about Uggs, or quality imitations, but am not sure which are good, which brands make non-pull on ones, etc.

Alice,
I read your post and I too need zip ups because I can't tie a boot. I don't want to sound like a L.L.Bean commercial but here's one suggestion.
Check these out. My wife bought me the mens version a few years ago and loved them so much she got a pair. Very comfortable and long wearing.

Good hunting...

Footsmart catalog has a pair of great boots with Velcro closure. FootSmart.com. Many choices. But with the Velcro opening I don't have to point my toes as much to get them on.

Happy shopping

I know they are a little well you get your moneys worth. Just another thing about steger. He is the guy who went to the north pole in the 80's. These Mukluks are built like the Eskimos do. His wife went up to Inuvit Canada and learned how do them from original moose hide. They are a boot that you will not sweat in. Like we sweat or anything. But you can wear them anywhere. My wife wears them to the mall in the winter at -40 below. We live in Minnesota. She says that they dont make her sweat. I hope this helps. but just google StegerMukluks it should come up. Their shop is in Ely Minnesota.
