Thinking of changing from Gabapentin to Lyrica

I am currently taking 2400mg Gabapentin daily and am considering changing to Lyrica as it is more effective. How do people manage the changeover, weaning off one before starting the other terrifies me.

You wont need to wean off it but instead add lyrica whilst reducing Gaba.
