Ear Wax

I know at one time we had a discussion going about excessive ear wax. I was reading an article written by my son's nutritionist and came across this.

Even on a high fat diet, essential fats can be deficient. Symptoms of essential fatty acid efficiency include dry, flaky or bumpy skin, wax build-up in the ear, toe walking and excessive thirst.

None of my kids have had excessive ear wax but I have noticed it in some kids in school. They are usually the ones that have problems with staying focused.

My daugther is one who had a lot of ear wax (not quite as excessive as my son), and it is just not an issue for her anymore. This is one of those things that our doctors would just laugh at, like who cares?, but it is interesting when some of those things just vanish after gfd. I've also read it is related to food sensitivities, in general.

Thanks! I'll have to go read it when I have a little more time. I was speculating that excess ear wax was another allergy sign. Tom's ears aren't bad, but he does produce the most ear wax of the kids.
