B1 deficiency caused neuropathy
Hi all,
I am from the Netherlands and a malabsorption issue has caused aggressive neuropathy thanks to a severe B1 deficiency. The doctors assure me they caught it in time and it will heal in 6-8 weeks but in the meantime I cannot sleep more than two hours, currently my feet are immersed in a cold foot bath and they burn intensely as well as tingle and 'shock me'. I am pretty down because my calf muscles have completely atrophied and I had strong legs! I understand a lot of people here are stuck with this condition permanently and having lived through it for five weeks I can only empathise, I hope I don't annoy anybody with this post. I was wondering if anybody else experienced neuropathy from a vitamin deficiency and if it was cured? Thank you all. |
