I have talked to the Cleveland Clinic and they do not take my insurance....I spoke to University Hospital and they gave me the name of Dr. John Shaffer saying he specializes in "upper extremities" with a "special interest in TOS", but when I googled him it said he was an orthopedic surgeon....is this a good place to start? I have an orthopedic seurgeon who took care of tendon and bursa issues already in that arm?

Well if he has "special interest in TOS" he might be good , or then again it could be only partial knowledge - it's hard to tell sometimes until you meet and talk w/ them.

Dr Daniel Clair is a vascular doctor at the Cleveland Clinic. He recently did my surgery for aertial TOS. I first seen Dr. Kim who diagnosed me in the vascular department.

Still having a lot of symptoms. Before surgery, I could not do anything because I always felt like I was going to pass out. The compression on the subclavian artery was stopping the flow completely in the vertebral artery. He said after the surgery that he was surprised by the amount of compression that I had and that he removed a lot of scar tissue.
