Important test data results regarding the use of Jarrow Methyl B-12

In 2007, I had my B-12 level tested as part of my blood work and the result was a level of 532.

About a year ago, I began taking one Jarrow's Methyl B-12 5000 mcg tablet per day at bedtime on an empty stomach. Again, my total dosage over the last year was 5000 mcg per day of Methyl B-12.

I just had my B-12 level re-tested for the first time both since 2007, and when I first began taking the B-12 daily a year ago.

My new September, 2011 B-12 level just came in at 1882 (an increase of 1350), which proves that oral Methyl B-12 is absorbed as advertised.

Important real-world data for those who are interested!

:)

Thanks for the update. I tested out Puritan's Pride methyl B12 this last spring. Similar results in 3 months to yours.

There are studies on oral, but doctors don't look for them, hence they don't know they exist. Doctor's today wait for drug salespeople to give them data, and it is pretty rare for them to look for new info on their own. Some do, but many don't.

When I told my doctor what I was doing, she said... "no way..B12 is not absorbed orally". She was surprised and chastised when I tested out at 1999. Pennies a day too... affordable! Non toxic...there is just about NOTHING out there like it!

And for best results orally, must take on empty stomach! ;)
