Computer down (again)

Hello everyone: Well, last week my computer was really limping along. When I selected the shorcut icon, it took me 35 minutes to get here. I took it to get repaired and now it has some more memory and hopefully won't fail anytime soon.

I wish I had a slot where I could get more memory for my brain. Yesterday I ran the dishwater and left the kitchen. What a mess! The sugar was hard in the container so I shook it to loosen it. I thought the lid was snapped tight but I was wrong and flun sugar all over the still damp floor. Do any of you find yourself doing things that make you doubt your sanity?

To anyone who has joined us recently, I say Welcome! I have a lot of catching up to do since my computer was down. I hope everyone here is doing well. Regards, Lil

Hi Diamond! Oh my gosh!! That is so funny! The other day, I was starting a small load of laundry...went into the kitchen....back to the bedroom, found the sash for my bathrobe...back to the kitchen, and almost threw the darned sash into to the Garbage, rather than the washer! (Oh yes--i DID double-check the washer, just to be sure nothing "foreign" ended up in there as well!!)

Some days just seem to be "BBDs" (Bad Brain Days...)!!

Have you ever started a pot of coffee, and waited FOREVER to smell the delicious aroma of a fresh-brewed pot? (Kind of helps if the WATER is added...!!)

Thanks for the "heads-up" re the sugar pot lid!!! What a sticky mess!

 LOL too true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

or put your milk in the larder and the tea bags in the fridge.

go from one room to the next and forgot what you wanted

forgotten to turn a desklight out and burnt a hole through your duvet.

got in a car and had to pull over because you can't remeber which side of the road to drive down and you need someone else to show you!

checked, rechecked and triple checked the door to check it's locked.. then realise the keys are inside it.

managed to lock your keys into your ignition with the music blaring and the engine switched on (impressive as someone had to lift me out anyway?!) and then had to pay £50 so someone could break into the car to turn the engine off......

Love ya - more laughs needed (and glad the comp is working again!)

Frogga, Brokenwings, and Lil,

Yes, yes and yes, I've done it all.

I aways refer to myself as a fly by night, but not yet so bad that I'm a fly by night with no lights on.

I had a bad spell last week and I am beginning to wonder if I have had another stroke. I'm having a really hard time here lately of thinking of the right words and people names and I know they think I'm nuts.

With this moving, I'm having a time. I am running from room to room and forgetting to take boxes, bags, tape, whatever else I need and just keep running around in circles.

I remember one day I went to Wal-Mart and locked my keys in the truck and I called Bill and asked him to call the insurance company and have them come down and he said well why don't you just slide the back window back and reach in and get the keys.

Right now I am a mess. Too much to do and too tired to do it.. I have this planned out. I go clean my carpets tomorrow at the new place, My kids start helping me move in next week, I have surgery on the 11th, move the things into storage I want to keep, keep the things out for my booth, and have a walk through sale for the rest. Do you think it will go that way? NO.

I honestly think at times the worst thing about what we are going thru is our mind boggle.

Have a good day,
Ada

Hello: Last week I decided to make no-bake chocolate cookies (the kind with oatmeal in them). The recipe calls for 2 cups of sugar and 1/2 cup of milk. I have made these cookies for over 40 years. Something didn't seem right. I had put in 2 cups of milk:eek: I tried cooking the liquid down but had already added the oats. Since they were the quick-cooking kind I ended up with overcooked chocolate flavored oatmeal - a lot of it.

In my first message above, I tried underlining the word welcome instead of making it bold. I kept moving the mouse to make the cursor go down to the underline key on the keyboard. It just kept going to the bottom of the screen and disappearing and I couldn't figure out was was wrong.

Regards, Lil

hi frogga and all--well, now that i know that it isn't "unusual" to put odd things in the fridge.... a few days ago, could not find the salt for the life of me.. (i even checked the garbage, after the sash incident)...

next morning when i went to get the cream for my coffee..there was the box of salt, neatly "organized" on the fridge shelf, next to the jams and jellies!!

At least i put water in the coffee maker, and coffee beans , not salt, in the coffee filter that a.m.!!! although, come to think of it....:winky:

Neverending,

My friend called me to ask me about some tax information and I told her I didn't know but she could call Century 21 and ask them. She says what's Century 21 got to do with it, don't you mean H and R Block?

Made devil eggs for Devin's party and couldn't find the saran wrap. Tore the kitchen apart the next morning got up and opened the fridge and there was the saran wrap on the top shelve.

If we got paid for all of the time we waste trying to straighten up our mess we'd think we had a regular job. LOL
