In Treatment

Do any of you watch In Treatment? It's a TVV show about a psychotherapist starring Gabriel Byrne. I have just started watching the 3rd series and he is having Parkinson's symptoms (his father died of PD). I'll be interested to see how it goes...

It is somewhere in my DVD rental queue...looks like I should bump it up. Have heard good things, but I suspect the writers will not want to continue writing about actually living with the disease.

It's a very good show - very intelligent and thoughtful. I thoroughly recommend it!

Love and other drugs

An interesting movie is "Love and Other Drugs" starring Jake Glyllenhal and Ann Hathaway. He is a drug rep who falls in love with a patient who has PD. Lots of commentary on the pharmaceutical industry and their problems with her PD.
Not for the easily offended as it borders on soft core porn.

I don't watch much movies but I saw this film on tv and enjoyed it as I think that Ann Hathaway is always great to see :)
The film only touches on PD and avoids the more gruesome sides of PD that may come in later stages.
