Cervical Spine MRI

Had fusion of c5-c6 in 1989 no residual or deficates since that time
woke up last week with pain over C7 with severe left scapula pain radiating to left tricept with paresthesias to index and middle finger left hand
MRI showed at C6-C7 there is a bulging disc. The neural foramina are narrowed bilaterally secondary to uncinate hypertrophy
Impression: Fused C5-C6 vertebral bodies. Small central disc protrusion at C4-C5. Narrowed neural foramina bilateral at C4-C5 and C6-C7
what does all this mean?

Hello, Mr. Bean

It's very nice to meet you! I don't know what all of that means, but it sure sounds pretty complicated. You might try posting on the spinal disorders forum to get some answers. I hope that after then you decide to stick around and be a part of our group. Good luck!

Hi Mr Bean-
Is that name from the UK TV show Mr Bean? Rowan Atkinson?
http://www.mrbean.co.uk/
We used to watch his shows on our PBS station.

Any idea of the possible cause of the new symptoms?
What kind of work do you do?

If you need any help finding the spinal forums or have any questions about navigating around here just ask.

Hi, Mr Bean :).

You'll likely be able to find what most (if not all) of the medical jargon means by visiting some of the sites listed at the following:
