New combo: PCS + intestinal flu (?)= a whole new world

Thank God I'm not throwing up. Anyone ever do this w/PCS?

Oh, I haven't posted in ages. Hope you're healing well.

I'm experiencing intestinal pain & chronic diarrhea (5 times yesterday, 4 times last night to right now).:o

Just don't care if it is an unapppealing topic- just letting you know in case you experience it-

Slight increase in dehydration & headache.

Try to drink a lot of water, but don't have access due to a housemate sleeping downstairs, and it is hard to get warm water in the sink in my bathroom.

So, I feel broken- but this is an acceptable sacrifice to God, according to a Psalm. Please pray for me if so inclined. Thanks.

jeffery...get some gatorade in you...and a banana. The potassium in the banana will help and it will also help with the diahrrea.

Feel better!

Take care of yourself

I hope you feel better. My parents had me drink Ensure. It stays down well and is packed with nutrients. It won't help with the flu, but as soon as I could start to eat again, it helped my stomach feel much better, and it helped me recover more easily.

Why don't you take Imodium and Pepto Bismol? I dealth with that few times. I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (all kinds of syndromes (?) - even before PCS) and when my stomach gets upset I take Pepto Bismol (rarely Imodium).

Dehydration is dangerous. Also it is better if you drink filtered water for a while till your stomach gets ok.

Had that recently. Not a fun day for sure. The vomiting on top of the vertigo was a new twist. Not a ride I'd recommend at the amusement park.

Def a little something to keep you from getting dehydrated.

I always try to figure out which is the better course of action. Take the immodium and something for upset tummy-or just let it run its course. Hope it is only a 24 hour bug that you are rid of quickly.

Just to rule out another possibility...have you by any chance made a change in a medication? I once thought I contracted a particularly bad flu, with all of the symptoms you describe. It turned out not to be a flu, but simultaneous withdrawal from two very powerful drugs, MS Contin and Prednisone. It took two months to get through, and during that time I felt more broken than any human being needs to feel.

Thanks for the tips.

Pain got excruciating.

No meds (last time I had some- I ended up groggy enough to smash my knee bad). Pepto sounds good- And rice cakes. If I can walk to the store.

Can't even lie down cause of the danger of getting to the restroom in time safely.
