What's going on....? (A video about bullying)

This is a very powerful video and I'm adding a trigger because it is not for everyone.

Before watching this video PLEASE read the message underneath. It starts........

UPDATE, PLEASE READ To all my friends and supporters,I made this video 4 months ago just before school was about to start. I was 13. It was a very emotionally dark time in my life. I made the video at 4:00am in the morning; I hadn't been sleeping at night for a long time, too many things going on in my head.......

I wanted to add it to the Bullying thread but was not able to use the Trigger icon if I did that, so I'll post it here and then move it later.

Jonah is a hero for making this video and I loved reading the update at the bottom. The comments were typical....jerks for the most part!

Thank you Koala for sharing this.

I hadn't seen this thread and was about to post the same thing, Koala! I found out about it on one of my favorite blogs...Single Dad Laughing. He covers a lot of tough subjects along with his humorous and fun posts. The video upset Dan (Single Dad) so much, he said he couldn't comment on it until tomorrow.

He recently did a lot of blogging on bullying, and the responses he got were incredible. People came out of the woodwork to talk about how they had been bullied and what it had done to their lives.

You might enjoy Single Dad Laughing as well. http://www.danoah.com/2011/12/jonah.html

Oh, Single Dad also has a Facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/SingleDadLaughing?sk=wall

I felt for this boy so much that I couldn't help but cry when I saw the video for the first time. The first person to see the video on NT was also terribly upset and struggled to watch it all and that is why I went back and added the note about reading the update first. I think it helps to know this boy got through his bullying and did not end up taking his own life, as one might have imagined when watching.

Yes, I had tears as well. At one point I was afraid that the final outcome would be his suicide. I was so relieved to see, though, at the end he still had strength. It broke my heart to see him cry, his chin trembling.

My grandson (only in kindergarten) already experienced bullying in school. It ended up with this bully pushing him off a high piece of playground equipment! Luckily, he recovered with no broken bones, but he was bruised...hit his head and had a headache. We were all furious to say the least. He was afraid to go back to school, but the school did deal with it. This other kid gets in trouble constantly. Kindergarten!!

Thanks for posting about it.
