Caffeine: just say no?
Just a quick note to say that I cut out caffeine earlier this week and have been feeling - and sleeping - better since then. Not sure if this is the caffeine or just part of improving generally. I hadn't been drinking a lot (a cup or two of tea in the morning), but eliminating it completely seems to have helped.

I definitely found this to be the case. Concussion, like caffeine, profoundly alters your "mental energy" levels. A caffeine crash during recovery can be awful.

A few months ago I had a mini-relapse which I could only attribute to having drunk a whole pot of tea! Now there's hedonism for you.
Only decaff ever since |
I was wondering about the coffee, iI am only a 1 cup a day..or a double double as we call it in Cabnada at Tim Hortons, is 1 cup an issues?
|
Before my PCS, I would certainly feel it go to my head slightly if I had even 1 cup of coffee. Nowadays I know that whatever it is doing to stimulate my brain is bad for it, so for me even 1 cup is too much right now.
I was never that into coffee anyway, I guess if you really love coffee or would feel stressed without it it might on balance be worth having it every now and then. But if you can take it or leave it, I'd just cut it out. |
Thank you for the info. At 1 cup a day not a big thing to give up
