Yoga and SCS
Has anyone tried yoga poses and stretches after implant?
I miss being able to work on flexability and balance. A friend swears by yoga after her back injury from tennis. She says the gentle stretches help with pain and spasms. Is it safe to do with leads four months after implant? Sandy Kay |
That is definitely and ask your Doc
One year after implant KZLRogue was allowed to return to Karate by her Doc. I would hazard a guess your Doc would certainly be willing to answer a question for you. You should be having a post op follow up in two months from now... is your Doc going to see you at six months... a good question for them that is.
Yup, Mark56:) |
You can always start with poses that don't involve much or any bending or stretching of the back, the warrior and tree poses come to mind, until you check with your doctor :)

GREAT question Sandy!
I was wondering this myself. I'm 2 yrs out from surgery and pretty sure I could do it. I want to borrow my daughter's Yoga DVD and start! This very well could be the answer to my prayers - if it helps my horrible spasms I will be FOREVER grateful! Rae :grouphug: |
Oh sage Yogi
May you master the artful and peace instilling pose which will provide levitation and serenity.........
I am not being cheeky here, Truly, Prayin too for calming to the weary pain filled back and the spirit of the precious one who needs it, Mark56:grouphug: |
