When is enough medication too much?

I was diagnosed with a macroadenoma on my pituitary gland and my primary has put me on about 7 different Meds to help with pain, lack of sleep and hormone displacement along with a few other symptoms, but A lot of different pain killers, sedatives, sleeping pills and anti-depressants. She says there are no adverse reactions when mixing these meds but if I take them the way they are prescribed, it makes me nuts plus Im facing addiction. I'm not sure what's jacking me up more, the meds or the tumor.

Drs can't and don't know all of these details.

Also our Medications & Treatments forum might be helpful -

Hey, just wanted to stop by and say :welcome_sign:welcome to Neuro Talk!!
I just looked at the link Jo*mar posted...wish I would have had the link she posted six weeks ago. I had surgery and was put on some medications that added to my regular prescriptions could have caused some really bad reactions.

Hope your able to find a happy medium soon. Hope you see you cruising around and getting to know some of the most amazing folks any forum has to offer!! Take Care!!

I sure know what you mean! I started having strange new symptoms, such as shortness of breath and short-term memory issues. I went to my GP because I thought they were medical issues that needed attention....but later discovered they were just side-effects from certain meds I was on.
Sure wish I woulda had this revelation before I spent the $$ for the office visits.

It's great to have you here at NT. You'll find alot of support here. So many wonderful people!

Caring,
