WOW! Got 8 GB of RAM in my 17R now, it's FLYING!
 

Jack got me some memory for it for my birthday and it just got here today, so he's installed it and I am THRILLED with the results. It boots a little faster, and it's flying on websites and running tasks. We had 4 GB in it from the ordering of it, but took that out and put in the matching 4 GB x 2 RAM chips we just ordered! See we are getting Jack a netbook, an 11z (or inspiron 1121) and it can hold up to 8 GB of RAM too, so we scored a deal on this ram for under $30 and flipped a coin, one of us is going to end up with 6 GB and guess WHO won the toss? ME! :D

Other then that things are good, kiddo has been doing well, and been very cooperative lately. We think this is because he's really happy to be OUT of school for awhile. :) We did some tye dying the other day and again today, so he's had fun. :D He has already opened his Christmas presents, but if you remember that's because we can't HIDE anything from him. He finds it, anyway, he got a lot of cool stuff and he's happy as a pig in mud. :D

Thanks everyone! I love my new memory, it makes this machine run so much better! For my birthday dinner Jack made surf & turf! (my request) and the shrimp and steak was FABULOUS! We had breaded summer squash 'fries' since we are still NOT eating white potatoes. It was awesome! I had such a blast for my birthday, and things are looking up. I really hope we're able to get into a house next year, but if not we'll get by and then the next year get into a house I hope. It's always good to have goals and to be FLEXIBLE. :D

Thanks waves! I had a great birthday, Jack made such a great dinner, it was awesome. His computer is still not here and I think Dell is going to cancel the order, it's been delayed twice and I have heard through the grapevine they've discontinued the model we ordered so it's doubtful that we're going to ever see the 11z we hoped to get. Oh well. I am still loving the extra RAM this 17R is now packing it's great! Hope you and everyone else had a fabulous New Year's, we had neighbors setting off fireworks and it was kind of hard to sleep but once they settled down it was okay. :)
