New Year's movie resolution

Every year I make the same honorable resolutions: lose weight, exercise more, eat healthy, be nicer to people, etc. Some I keep, some I don't; it pretty much averages out from year to year.

This year I'm going to set my sights on something a little more mundane. I'm going to re-watch all my favorite videos (yes, as in VCR), keep my VERY favorites, then sell, swap, or give away the rest.

One that I will NOT part with I watched this morning, "Driving Miss Daisy". I love every single minute of that movie, all 99 of them. I love Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy anyway, and I watch that one usually a couple of times a year. Laugh out loud at the same line every time, and cry at the end.

Next I'm thinking "The Trip to Bountiful". Haven't decided yet.

Driving Miss Daisy is one of those classic movies, like Gone With The Wind, that you never tire of seeing again and again.:)

I have some old VCR tapes too.. GWTW being one of them, ET/Extra Teresteral, the original TV movie-The Bourne Identity(circa 1980) and lots more. I'll have to take a look to see all I have.

I got rid of my VHS movies a couple of years ago. Sold them at a garage sale for some ridiculously low price....but the lady took all of them which was a big plus for me. There were probably over 100 of them.

Slowly started replacing them with DVD's. DS24 has taken alot of them since he's moved out but I don't miss them. I never watch any of them.

I think the only ones I'd really want to keep are Forrest Gump, Cast Away and The Notebook. I laugh and cry at the same things in all of them, too, even though I know they're about to happen.

Am I the only person in the world who didn't like Forrest Gump???

Several years ago I made a resolution to never make any more resolutions. I never keep them.

This is so funny because last weekend one of my smartie pants adolescent patients actually called me Miss Daisy.

I had forgotten about that wonderful movie, am very surprised he had seen it and dag nabbit I'm no where near that old!

Sally, there are two of us. I just didn't see the point in Forest Gump.

My husband has to drive me places of greater distance. We always make jokes that he is "driving Miss Daisy"

If you like that movie, you should watch the new one out called "The Help". Similar time frame and topics.
