Where is my friend?
 

I was expecting an old friend to visit today. She had been to visit her son in Atlanta and was planning to stop by and stay over with me tonight on her way back to Michigan.BUT we had this massive snowstorm so she was going to try to make it to a relative's house in Columbus, Indiana. I last talked to her about 3PM and she was in Tennessee. The roads were dry there. I just don't know when or where she hit the bad weather. She plans to drive here tomorrow, possibly staying over until Tuesday. I may try to call her though I have only one number for her - hope it's her cell number. I am worried because she has had cataract surgery and doesn't do well driving at night - especially at night. Tune in tomorrow.............

I called her and it rang and rang - guess I only have the number for her land line. Just have to think positive thoughts.

Thanks Wren - I'll just expect to hear from her in the morning. Then I'll gently chastise her for not calling me; and GET HER CELL PHONE NUMBER!!!

Just heard from my friend and she had a terrible trip yesterday. Storms started in northern Tennessee and occurred off and on 5 times before her destination. Semis and cars in ditches, flashing red lights everywhere, traffic crawling at 10 miles an hour. She ended up having two hours of driving in the dark and when she got there she slept 9 1/2 hours. She is going straight home from there bypassing me. We will get together when the weather improves. She will call me when she is home in Michigan. By the way I got her cell phone number! Safe end to the saga!

sorry you didn't get to see her, but i dont blame her for wanting to get home... I remember coming home from New Mexico one year and I40 was a solid sheet of ice.... NOT fun.... i'll pray s he has a safe trip home... {{{{HUGS}}}}

I'm glad that you found out where she was! And, although you didn't get to see her this time, she's safe. You can both rest well knowing that. And you do have her cell # now...that helps a lot! I'm like you....I'd worry a lot! :) :)
