Getting off lorazapam

I was given lorazapam awhile back because I had this generalized anxiety. Then I found out that what I really had was some vitamin B deficiency which was causing the anxiety. When I corrected that, the anxiety went away. Now I am addicted to 2 mg/day lorazapam. How do I get off of this stuff?

titrate slowly!

dear one,
your medication is addictive, and to stop it immediately is very dangerous,
or deadly
whomever is the doctor who prescribed it or the pharmacy that filled it will give you a titration down schedule,
please listen to your healthcare physician on this type of drug.
-I take klonipin -it is an even higher BENZODIAZEPINE the classification of these drugs...

read here- but you must get professional advise please:

Hi Lily....YES you do want to taper really slow and under the care of a physician. I was put on ativan for another reason and I was just thinking about stopping it when I developed this horrible vertigo, and my neurologists says it would of been even worse had I not been on the ativan..so for me, I guess I am stuck with it unless they can find something else.

ALL meds should not be just stopped. It really can be a VERY serious matter. I hope you find a safe way to do this and I wish you the very best of luck:)
