Heard of a VECTTOR machine by Dr. Rhodes in Texas?

Hi everyone!
Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth for a while, but it is good to know that everyone is still here:)

I just saw this article today: Boy's pain eases from podiatrist's treatment
<http://www.dailybreeze.com/news/ci_19659039>
Seems pretty amazing. I tried an STS unit a really long time ago (7 years to be exact) and it didn't help. I'm not sure if this VECTTOR unit is different, similar or the same thing as an STS. If anyone knows anything about it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

If you do a search on this forum for Dr Rhodes you will find all kinds of information on him and his machines...both good and bad.

There are numerous threads.

I'm sure someone who has first hand knowledge will also respond to your question.

I wish you the best.

I was wondering if anyone knows if this machine has helped someone with a foot drop.

I'm new to this site and hope this is the right way to post. I couldn't find where to post a new thread.

Thanks,
Sue

I too read this article and the preceding one and and I can tell you what I posted to another person asking about the machine and the doctor: "As a new member am not sure if there are more current posts regarding this topic but having arrived in Texas about 1 1/2 months ago (today:1/20/2012) and my daughter being a new patient I can tell you briefly what led us here and what we have learned since arriving. Though a new acquaintance we contacted several people who had been seen by Dr. Rhodes and either were in remission or a much lower level of pain that they were able to rebuild their lives. We have been running out of options, having used both inpatient and outpatient at top rated RSD programs, numerous meds and read all the research (my husband and I both PhD researchers specializing in pain), suffice to say short of the coma and ketamine infusions, we tried everything we have come across, to no avail. We arrived in Texas to rave reviews from unbiased & impartial people who have never met the man, but new firsthand patients of Dr. Rhodes. For example, here at the Ronald McDonald House (reputable charity housing critically ill children & families), where we're living, 1 long term employee has seen at least 5 kids leave either in remission. My daughter has had full body RSD from start & is too sensitive for the electrodes, so doc is using magnets to do similar treatment as the STS/VECTTOR machine, until her sensitivity decreases. We're not a success story yet, but I can speak about the doctor himself to say, rarely have a met a more personable & caring person, let alone a doctor - and I have been around doctors my entire life (e.g., father, ex-husband, past/present coworkers, and all those I have seen personally for my large family & daughter w/RSD).
So “meekobindi”If you have bought the machine, then being his patient will cost you substantially less )1st exam = $850 & each office visit is $100/day (you’ve already paid for machine = $4500), and who knows maybe your husband will be one of the lucky ones who leaves in a few weeks a new man. Besides, I know you if you call him he will return your call within a few days & he will talk your ear off! "

I've looked into Dr. Rhodes for several weeks and I also talked to him personally. I've read enough about this guy that others have claimed he told them that he cured himself of RSD. To make a long drawn out response short and having a good sense of smell, I don't trust his methods, him and his machine at least not with my wife who has RSD, who is middle aged and has had this condition for 10 years. Perhaps it can have a positive effect on a child whose RSD contraction is recent.

Sue,

I've been doing some research too on this Vecttor machine because my husband was diagnosed with FSHD muscular dystrophy recently. I found a bunch of testimonial videos on YouTube. Very promising. I did see one for foot drop. We haven't tried this machine, can't afford it. According to their website, they are in final stages of FDA approval. They hope by the end of summer it should be approved. Im hoping there are no more snags and we can then get insurance to help pay for it. Just type vecttor in the you tube search and you'll find it.

The Vecttor put my son into remission from RSD

Yes yes yes go to Dr Rhodes!!! I have RSD but have been in remission with early detection and 5 nerve blocks and PT 3 years ago after a wrist break. But when my 10 year old son got it this year, nerve blocks were contradicted and thus went through exruciating and intensive PT which was not working but actually sometimes worsened the pain cycle. So I researched and prayed and it took me to Dr. Rhodes.

I took my 10 year old son to Dr. Rhodes in September of 2013. He has RSD that was spreading and not relieved with intensive PT. It manifested in his abdomen, right ankle, back and more. He had two serious bouts with it this year - missing a total of 2 1/2 months of school and the obvious horrific pain and became immobile. The VECTTOR totally worked!!!! After one week we saw a huge difference then kept-up with it for several weeks and he went into total remission after 4 weeks. When I was checking out of the Staybridge Suites (which gives a discount for Rhodes patients) the two front desk ladies that have been working there for over 4 years have seen miracles week in and week out of people in horrible shape that were wheel-chaired in and left walking and out of much of thier pain. I want all the pained souls to know there is a treatment that works and is worth every single penny. It is now January and he is a normal kid again thanks to Dr. Rhodes. And I like the fact if he has an injury in the future that triggers RSD again, we hook him up to the VECTTOR and the beast goes into remission again.

Contact his office and ask for his monograph. This is where he goes into what is going on with the body and why his treatment works. I can proudly proclaim....it worked for us!! I know some cases are more difficult than others - especially if you have been on pain meds, but he is forthright on how to proceed and whether he can help. He is a totally honest, brilliant and compassionate man. As we all know early detection is key as well.

Best to you!!!

KKS
