Monday Rollcall

I was going to call it Marvelous Monday but considering how blue Billie is (((Billie))) and how much pain a lot of you are in (hugs for the room) I just settled for a rollcall.

froglady 03-26-2007 09:14 AM

Froggie checking in to say hello Alffe and ALL.

My Zoe is sick with her spring allergies and we can't take her outside to potty. She is wee-wee pad trained yet poor doggy loves to go out there. Pollen is sooooooo bad now. Human person here, can't get the pollen out of the house either...dust and pollen seeps in through invisable places??? LOL

My weight is down today to 207.:Dancing-Chilli: Wow, only have 8 lbs to go to being under 200. Haven't been this low in a long time and am glad. I didn't do anythihng to lose it though, I have been sick for a while with nausea and not being able to eat, so I can't brag to much. Not complaing about appetite loss...it has helped me.:Head-Spin: LOL Froggie

Good morning, I think we can turn this into a marvelous Monday if we try. I will give it my best. We are expecting some wind today and maybe some rain but I doubt it on the rain. I got my tomato plants hooked up to the drip line yesterday so i hope they are happy where they are. Today I am off to the nursery to but more potting soil and some squash plants and who knows what else.

Hi ya, Alffe, thanks for starting roll call. What is on your plate for the week ahead?

Billie- I know this was a rough weekend for you. Feel better soon. I think of you when I look at my hubby and worry about his health. You are a strong woman and we all admire you.

Nancy, are ya feeling better yet?

Froggie, congrats on the weight loss. I can't wait to see the scale below 200. Keep up the great work and ribbit.

Bizi, I think I found the plant that gives me the itchies. Unfortunately they are all over my backyard. I was picking weeds and grass form around them and I am a scratching fool. You know it makes me mad that we bought artificial turf because we couldn't get the grass to grow now it is pooping up everywhere. Things that make ya say hmmmmm.:D

Wendy-how are you today?

Ok I am sure I missed some but I am having to go back and correct all my typos so i am losing my train of thought and the feeling in my fingers:eek: Have a great day everyone...Sue

Hi Snooz!:Wave-Hello:
Well after a very nice birthday.....I either have a really bad allergy attack from the flowers I bought myself on Friday....OR.....I have a cold! I am hoping allergy but deep down I think its a cold! ICK!
Alright Biz....got a bone to pick with you.........:D
You kept mentioning Godiva so when I went to Walmart yesterday I bought a Dove dark chocolate bar! You are a bad influence on me girlie!;) But at least it was dark chocolate right? Shhhhhh. Todd doesn't know about the candy bar.
Billie, what can I say. It seems so long ago that Bob was so sick. Your post from yesterday reminded me it was only just a year ago. I hope that you gave warm wishes from all us gals here when you visited.
Nancy....thanks for the PM.....she tried to convince me I was 21 again.;) After about a week of mourning I have accepted the age of 35. I have one thing this year I get to look forward to now that I am 35.....my first mamogram!:D

Well the rest of the day, now that I have gone and done the laundry is to take a nice hot shower, drink tons of hot decaf tea, rest on the couch and watch TV, take my vitamin C and try and eat something even if it is a meal replacement drink or soup.
Have a great day everyone!!!!

Hi to all~

I went to our favorite store today and Walmart. I bought a new sweeper, brought it home and it needed to be put together. Again I thought of Bob. I just laid down for a while, then put it together the best I could. It doesn't pick up dog fur so I am disapointed. Thats what I bought it for.

I got another "sorta" big doll at Goodwill. I hope I can do something with the hair. It's a fright! I also got some china dishes that match my nicest set. That is nice and it is some I don't already have also.

Thanks for your good thoughts. I don't know what brought this on, but I still have it. Wendy he hasn't been dead a year, till July. he actually only lived 3 months after they found out he had cancer. The Radiation and Chemo didn't do him a bit of good. He didn't even lived threw the Chemo. He just had 3
treatments.

Thanks for starting the forum up Alffe!

Billie...you are still grieving and may I say, from one who has walked this path, you were/are not grieving properly. The way you are feeling right now, is normal. Your dear husband has not been dead that long and of course you miss him terribly. You were cheated out of precious time.

Give yourself plenty of time, plenty of tears, and don't have expectations of feeling good. It's way too soon. Some day your memories won't be this painful.

Do you have a support group near you? They are truly wonderful and will understand and help you.

(((Billie))) I hesitate to mention this but sometimes the second year is harder than the first.

Alffe~

May I say, this is not normal for me. I was extremly busy up to the middle of January, with all the things I sold. Then, I ran around, for I hadn't had time to, up until then. I did feel good when I said I was. It's just all of a sudden when March 23 rd came around I realized that was the day we found out he had cancer, so I looked at my calendar and there was all the treatment dates and surgery. Then I went to the graveyard and I haven't been the same since. I have talked to a few that has experienced the same and they say, this is how they did too. So, I guess it is normal. Thanks for your kind words.

Anne, I hope you can call!

What I mean Billie is that the whole situation with Bob suddenly getting sick started only a year ago. Sorry about the mix up.
