Head injury a weel ago
 

Last week I was hit in the head with some pretty strong force. It did hurt at the time, but it was not until a couple of days later that I started getting dizzy and had extreme pressure in my head. My neck is also very sore and stiff. I assume that I have a concussion (which seems unlikely from this type of hit) how long should the dizziness last? I still have a headache, but now it is more focused on the actual affected area instead of the whole head. i do not have insurance, or I would have already been to the doctor.

Hi MichelleW, I had the same type of injury - I hit my head on a piece of equipment at work - the symptoms didn't start until about 1 week later. It is now three months later and I am still dizzy. My doctor has me taking amitriptyline for the headache (which lasted for 2 months - until I was given this medication). So, you really can't predict how long symptoms will last. I would suggest you seek medical treatment if you possibly can. Good luck!
