Keppra ?
What kind of doses of keppra are you using for PN? Thank you in advance:)
|
I'm one of the few taking...
Keppra here. My dose is limited...I can't tolerate more than my prescribed 3 pills daily [tried more-got way too sleepy]. Each of us has to balance the paiin relief and side effects that each med creates.
Use for PN is 'off label' as are most meds used. Interesting web site I found today: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com:80/m...=65677&nfid=nl Hope this helps - j |
Thank you dahlek:) My reading indicated that drowsyness was the leading side-effect, which you confirm. Neurontin works well for me but I build up tolerance quickly. I am running out of options as some things don't work and others would compromise other health problems etc. It looks like keppra does help some people.

I'm glad you can...
tolerate the neurontin, I couldn't. Unless you call sleeping 18 hours a day 'tolerating' it. I hope the Keppra works for you. - j

Keppra
My dosage of Keppra is 1000 mg twice aday. No weight gain here . Now Neurontin is a different story . side effect is weight gain so if yall dont want to gain weight I may syuggest Keppra .

Like Neyurontin...
Just don't miss a dose...and if you are changing to another med to try, 'titrate' slowly. Do NOT just change - the med mfrs don't print out the consequences because they are afraid to! For any neuro-tropic med, which I believe this is. Caution is THE key-word! - j
