High school reunions

They're starting to plan my class's 45th reunion . I sorta kinda wanted to go to the 40th, but just couldn't.

Do you stay in touch with any of your high school friends?

All of a sudden, everybody wants to be Facebook friends and "keep in touch". I know I sound bitter, but I can't help but think: My parents lived in the same house for thirty years after I graduated from high school, with the same phone number, and nobody tried to get in touch with me.

On the other hand, now we're older and wiser (?), and I think the "let's get together and catch up" is sincere. Just not sure how I feel about it.

Never went to mine after the 30th. Now anybody I cared about is dead. So I do not go.

No way! I wouldn't go if they paid my plane ticket. I guess I never got over the HS crapola. I know where they are, and I don't care to ever see them again. One more reason I don't do fb.

I didn`t go to my graduation or any of my reunions, I knew people that could throw much better parties.

I have one friend I keep in touch with from junior high and high school, we were tight.

Have never been interested in keeping up with school chums. The one special friend I still have, I went through grade school and high school with and we are still friends today.

I was popular in HS too, but most of them were just chums and didn't turn out to be life long friends, partly my fault-partly theirs.:)

The sweet thing is, that my kids went to high school with some of their kids..:D

I have NEVER got an invite and I graduated in 1968! I know that they have had them but if I would suddenly get an invite, no I would not go. I wasn't in the right crowd.

My best friend from 14 to 43 - we raised our kids together but I moved 100's of miles away, kids grew and we fell out of touch. I hooked up with 2 old HS pals on FB. After an initial flurry of activity, we ran out of things to say. An old boyfriend (I was 18, he was 19) contacted me. All I could think was he was old and fat. Am I? Now I remember we disagreed a lot. We still do.

There's a reason those of your past stayed part of your past.

There are only a couple of people from HS I wouldn't mind catching up with. Most of my classmates were not close friends.

My best friend throughout elementary and high school still lives here and I even talk to her mother sometimes. We don't stay in close contact but we know how to find each other if we need to.

To answer the question.....NO, I would not go to my HS reunion.

Bad girl gone good

I go. I mostly go to rub their noses in my prosperity. I once had a classmate tell me I was gonna end up a hooker. Besides I was a mean girl in H.S. and I want them to see that this Leopard has changed her spots. H.S. was horrible and I didn't even have a date for the prom. Now when they see me they can't believe I was a classmate of their's. I keep in touch with a few people, 3 to be exact. Sadly to say about 50% of them never left. Another 25% only moved a few small towns over and haven't really done anything with their lives. I love to hear the rumors of my misfortunes and the look on their faces when I tell them the truth.

Only one I have gone to, 40th last year, a big mistake. It seemed like I didn't grow up with any of those people. Won't do another.
