Another Newbie from the UK

Hi, My name is Maxine and I am a married mum of 3 who are aged nearly 14, a nearly 5 year old and a 18 month old. I have just been Diagnosed with PN, My legs from the knees down are affected as well as my arms and hands, neck, back and also the right side of my face, I am also now slighty incontinent which I believe is linked. I am under the care of a Neurologist and I am currently waiting to see him again after having a EMG which confirmed the diagnosis. They are unable to find the cause of PN and its not linked to any condition/illness or medication.

The past few weeks have been emotionally awful, accepting what is happening to my body and that it will most prob never be the same again, people say to be positive but thats easier said than done at times.

It would be great to have others to chat too and to get help and advice from.

I am currently on 600mg X3 a day, They help slightly but I am still on constant pain and not able to sleep at night.

Look forward to chatting and getting to know you.
