Anyone else slur their words when they are tired?

Yes I do. though it is mild and not very noticable.

Slur while speaking or typing?

I do both, stuttering too, and not just when I'm tired...

themaidquit 01-23-2012 02:09 PM

me too. Can't find words sometimes and have to stop and breath before I can continue

SpaceCadet 01-23-2012 07:39 PM

Same here, even when I'm not tired.

Overall, I have trouble with conversations. My brain doesn't react fast enough to keep it going...so a lot of times I'll just be standing there blank, trying to figure out what I'm gonna say next.

a little slurring has occurred but more trouble word finding....

EsthersDoll 01-25-2012 07:07 PM

I have the same problem with the erratic rhythm of speech. My words used to flow like a chocolate fountain! And they're smooth in my head... but choppy like stormy water when they come out of my mouth.

I used to slur and stutter a LOT for months following the initial injury and I sounded like I had a foreign accent. Most of that is gone now. I still feel like a talk a little funny sometimes and the stutter comes back when I am feeling especially tired and worn out.

It's nice to look back and recognize that some parts have healed! :D
