Marijuana mouth spray coming soon

I'm posting this for two reasons:

1. for those interested, this would provide a legal alternative to what is available now; and

2. incredibly, innovative folks across the ocean have taken a currently illegal substance and converted it to a legal form....why can this not be done with dopamine, an already legal drug? We've been talking about snorting or inhaling levodopa for years here. Inquiring minds want to know.

Perhaps this will spur research into alternative delivery methods for us as well.

Was there an article attached? Anyway, the pot community has plenty of liquid forms of THC. I am pretty good at making them myself. But, translating that into dopamine is not so easy. I've tried and failed. It's been tried with making tincture from fava beans and that works only marginally. Wishful thinking. It would be nice if someone with talent, knowledge and equipment would take up the cross on this.

Hi lurking

I do read all articles. thank you for this one. The purpose of medicine is to help with suffering. The more tools we have for this, the better the world will be. PD is horrible, I know it is, and those patients should be allowed anything that would help their symptoms. I never can figure out what this substance is in such arguement. Most medicines are plant based. I take morphine, I would rather take something that does not have the harsh side effects. I don't think this will happen in my life time, because too many criminals are involved with its distribution. Political agenda crops up too. We use a medication from frog skin, who knows what mother nature has, that we have not found yet. I pray for our scientists. ginnie

not the same-ole, same-ole

What I found particularly interesting about this is that instead of trying to make the desired compound in the lab, like most pharmas do, this group is acutally growing the marijuana in "secret greenhouses" (I love that, how hilarious!) so they can extract the desired compounds out of the plant directly.

I've always believed getting things from natural sources is best, although I am well aware of the argument that the compounds made in the lab are chemically identical. Dr. Wahls put it best when she said that to get what she needed from the diet she consumes daily she would have to take over 700 pills a day! And that's just to get the KNOWN good things....there are all kinds of synergistic effects in plants with compounds and phytochemicals and bioflavanoids we have no knowledge of but which are very beneficial and perhaps even necessary for the plant nutrients to work optimally. So we'll see how this works.

Seems like there must be thought-police whose job it is to supress free thinking.
