Help with muscle wasting!

I. Know I have written about this before. I am dealing w full body muscle wasting. recently it attacked my back and I am getting constant deep muscle spasm. ..I recently had surgery to remove parathyroid adenoma and I am sure that put more gas on the flame. I am trying to get on baclofen but have a hard time sleeping when I take muscle relaxers. really was ready to check out today. I am going to Caribbean for vacation next week and not so much looking forward to it cause I can't do much anymore.

Thanks for listening

Deb

I am sorry for your continued struggles. Have you are you able to do any type of pool therapy? I am not sure what that surgery you had is so maybe it is not possible or the RSD etc also makes it not.
What has your doctors stated about the muscle wasting?
I wish I could offer more but I hope the vacation goes well and you can enjoy yourself.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I've been having some issues this week with really bad spasms in my back and I still think back pain is the worst. I hope you find something that can give you relief. I haven't been taking any pills for it (I see the doctor on the 10th so I am trying to wait until then to talk to the doctor about it) but the best things for me have been to take hot baths with epsom salts and to sit with an electric heating pad behind my back. They don't make the pain go away but they do take the edge off a little so at least I can breathe most of the time without it being so bad that I want to throw up.

But as far as your trip...try to enjoy yourself as much as possible. We all have our limits but just try to enjoy the things you CAN do and not get yourself down about the things you can't. Good luck...I really hope you have a great trip and that your doctors can find something that helps you.

Thanks for ideas. I do do pool therapy and swimming but it's getting harder and causes spasms. I am also on the heating pad all the time and when at work I use the self adhesive one,,,,it stinks!,,
