It's all about cats!

My daughter is part of a rescue organization and they had an aoption event today at Petsmart. There were two cats there. I was never able to hold Adora after she was 'fixed'. Her personality made a 180. So i was able to hold both of these precious little cats and just feel them purr in my arms. One of them just leaned into me like she was hugging me. I guess I just really needed to hold a cat and have them enjoy me holding them. OK, that's all I needed to say. I'm happy now.

I'm surprised you didnt take one home..

Oh, I was tempted. But I haven't given my house a thorough house cleaning after Adora died. I'm sure there are some carpets that need to be cleaned. My dermatologist suggested years ago that I completely declaw a cat since any bite is a potential psoriasis spot. And both of these cats were fully declawed. It's like one of them was meant for me. I don't want an outside cat. Now Dejebo's idea of of a catio is wonderful One of my golas is to make a Florida room and have good windows with screens so that room has a nice breeze. i can see me and a cat cuddled with a blanket reading a book, or just snoozing. One of these cats was a domestic long hair and the other had some siamese in her. But they were both precious and didn't mind me holding them at all. The adoptathon was held in a tent, heated, outside of PetSmart. There was no way I could put them on the floor to see how they played. I would want to do that. The did say that they could find a foster family for me if I did want one of them in about 4-6 weeks.

I say you need to bring home a fur baby that you can love.

I cannot imagine life without a cat. Whenever I see adoptable cats in Pet Smart it nearly makes me cry. I want them all! I'm glad they're there, though, instead of outside on the street.

Do it! I dare you! :)

I wouldn't DARE pick up a kitty that was "available". We have one too many right now as it is! I do love kitties.

It seems as if the foster parents want them to go together. Now I know that we could say we want one only but my husband says that since they have been together for so long, almost a year, that by breaking them up it might upset the one we take. And that is exactly what we don't want.

My daughter has talked to the foster Mom of these two cats and they are quite willing to sell just one. She says that she foster quite a few cats and they come on d go and these two have not been affected by others leaving. She said that since they are adults that they get past by all the time. My daughter says that since I held both of them for about 5 minutes each in a very busy outside tent with kids and other people around and they were very content to be in my arms that they would be OK. My husband is kind of pushing for me to call the foster Mom and set up a time for us to see them in their own envirnment. I do need to get my office cleaned completely. This room seems to be the one that she would pee on the floor when I was in here.I think I always caught it quickly because I would here her brushing the carpet like it was kitty litter and I would immediately soak it up and put down the product form the pet store to remove the odor.

I'm just so surprised that my husband wants to jump right in this. He is very hesitant to sit in the same place on the loveseat where he would sit and Adora immedialty jumped on his lap. I am wondering how he is going to act if this new cat prefers me.

This foster Mom is willing to wait until I am ready
