I was accepted for a guide doggie!

Guiding eyes for the blind has accepted and approved my application for a guide/service dog. They only do labs there, and will pick out one for me once I arrive and get evaluated. I am told this dog will do double duty as an MS dog as well as guide dog for blindness. I will have to go to their training session for 26 days sometime in June or July. I am told my dog is free of charge, and my room and board during training is paid for. They also offer a waiver once a year for a free vet visit to the accredited vet of my choosing, and provide a deep discount on other supplies should I require them, such as a replacement harness, or toys, food, a cage for the car, or a crate for the doggie to sleep in at night.

I am excited, yet terrified. its been so long since we had a doggie here. I hope Jack is back up and ready.
