Sleep Study

Hi Folks,

I may not be around for a couple of days because I have to go for a sleep study. There's a possibility that I may have sleep apnea which runs in my family. I snore really loud waking myself and my dear husband. I feel exhausted during the day like I didn't get any sleep. All of this in turn has lead to more sz. for me which is from the sleepiness. I will be going on Wed. for the sleep study and I sure hope that it's sleep apena that's triggering more of my sz. Here's wishing all of you well and May God Bless You!

Sue,

My thoughts and prayers are with you.:smileypray: I do have sleep apena. I think it has been around for 5 years. Once you get use to the machine you will be fine. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Darlene,

Thank you for your prayers and support. I'm used to all the wires with an e.e.g. e.k.g. etc. so this should be a simple test. The Dr. asked me to stay awake as long as I can this coming Tuesday and I will start the sleep study at 7 pm Wed. evening. Let's just hope this is the answer to all of my snoring and lack of sleep. If I may ask to you find that you wake up a lot during the night with the sleep apnea? I often wake up between 3-4 am and sometimes I can't get back to sleep. Here's wishing you well and May God Bless You!

Maybe sometimes, but that is because of the nose plug, when turn on the machine gradually gets faster. There is a button there you can push it and it will lower the air. Most the time I am able to go right back to sleep. Sometimes it will dry you mouth out, you could have a bottle of drinking water handy. You are in my thoughts ad prayers.

Hi Darlene,

Thanks for the tip regarding the bottled water. I think I will play it safe and bring some water from home. I've noticed that I sometimes get sick from drinking bottled water because my system isn't used to that kind of water and then I spend most of the time in the restroom, so I will bring a thermos of water with me. I just hope I can sleep okay since I won't be home and I probably won't be that relaxed. On top of that I just found out that my nephew was in the hopspital with blood clots on his lung and one in his leg and I'm very worried about him. Thanks for your time and support. May God Bless All of You!

Sue,

One time when I was doing it I had to go back because I did sleep all night. Tech told me to take something to relax me. I took a pill to relax me. Thoughts and prayers.

Hi Darlene,

I'm concerned that I won't be able to sleep just like you mentioned. I think I will cut back on the caffeine the day of the study since the Dr. told me not to take any meds to help me sleep. Thanks for your time and help. May God Bless You!
