Is anyone else a Tof ?????

Hi everyone we are new to the site as my Son has just been diagnosed with Chiari 1 with a syrinx. It was obviously a big shock as we had never heard of this condition before. Joe was born a Tof oa (Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula) and had a repair done at 5 days old.
He has Asthma and has often suffered from Reflux, Choking episodes and wheezing and breathlessness at times, these are all symptoms of Tof but as I understand it are some symptoms of Chiari.
Joe has had a rotation head movement since he was a baby which was thought to be 'Tics' which is why he was MRI'd in the first place, if anyone has similar symptoms or storeys I would love to hear from you.

Hello Joesmum!

Welcome to NT!

I'm sorry about your son's illness. As you can see, there is so much support and understanding here. Also, you can find alot of good information at the top section of most of the forums, called the 'Sticky's'.

I hope you will begin to get some clear answers soon.
It's great to have you!

Caring,
Rae
