Ahhh shoot I forgot again!!!

I know most of us have memory issues. I was wondering in the course of a day how much time I spend trying to remember what it is I forgot. For example leaving the living room to go to the bedroom and get comfies on. It took me getting up and out three times before I figured it out. It was only after my husband says to me, Why aren't you in your comfies?

I put stuff down and then spend so much time trying to figure out where I put them. I put stuff in weird places. Yesterday my husband was trying to be funny and make a joke out of it and I snapped at him. I told him, it wasn't funny and it's f-ing frustrating. I can see from his stand point why its so funny. I was just irritated. But looking in the from the outside I have to say, it was funny.

The not-so-funny part is how often and how much time this really takes up. Between that and the multitasking deficiet I really feel frustrated alot of the times.

And things like that can happen even to healthy people :D

It so helps to find laughter.

Before January 2001, I had always carried a pocket knife since I was in junior high. I never lost anything. Not a wallet, keys or anything. I lost a very expensive pocket knife that I had had 20 years. I finally stopped carrying a pocket knife because I lost them if I did. I also kept losing my cell phone and needed to spend too much time looking for it. I finally put my cell phone on a lanyard and it hangs around my neck.

I have put things in the frig when they don't belong there and all sort of other screw-ups.

Welcome to the screwed-up memory club. Have a laugh when you can. Nothing else helps.

My best to you.

I've put the cereal in the fridge and the milk on top of the fridge.....

I caught myself in the act lol.

I have the same problem, and I agree that when possible you have to find the humor in a situation.

I went to put milk on my cereal this morning only to find a pizza box in the fridge that I didn't remember ordering.

I just say "life is full of surprises" and move on best I can.

There is no wrong way to feel when confronted with the effects of radical changes in your life.

You do have to laugh. I know it's frustrating-but at the end of the day-just alleviate the tension and laugh. I've lost so much milk and juice putting them on top of the fridge...I washed my husband's cell phone, walking the dog's get one tangled and drop the other one's leash and she takes off....

Yesterday I couldn't remember the word translate. Hub was patient as I tried to find it. Transform? No. Trans.....something. Translate!!!! I told him not to tell me.

97% is the new 100%!

Seems like we could rename this thread "interesting places where I've found a carton of milk since PCS!"

I always get tripped up by the routine things.

Or "time spent wandering the house looking for my cell phone!"

I found my purse, keys, and hat sitting on top of the closed toilet the other day. Of COURSE! Why didn't I think to look there first?

I have started parking in the very last row in the parking lot whenever humanly possible to save myself hours of aimless wandering in public places :)
