Life pension awarded to me, but who pays it?

I have received life pension from my workers comp case in CA! I am waiting for a phone consult tomorrow with my attorney to find out who pays me this money! I thought it was the insurance company but they say no. Anyone out there have an information on this? I will patiently wait until tomorrow to find out from my attorney. Thanks for any advice you may have! Jacqueline

Did you get a settlement too?

I don't know if TS's case was a WC one, but I understand she has a lot of expertise in this area from her years as an attorney in the WC/disability field in California. She has not been able to post as much as she once did

In another post you said you were rated at 78% disabled. How does your monthly permanent disability amount compare to what you received from temporary total disability WC amounts? And did you fall under the old CA WC rules? TY!

Awesome you got the life pension award in California's screwed up workers compensation system, you are one of the few members I met getting a lifetime award. I know how frustrating the system is and I do not know why your lawyer has not explained your insurance carrier is responsible to pay your settlement.
I am curious if your attorney tried to get you to settle your medical, so he would get a larger portion of your disability.

Hi Gary.....Welcome to NeuroTalk !

Brachial asked the question early last year and their last post on the forum was 6 months ago. Brachial may not see your post to answer your question about the settlement.

Take Care.

Hi Finz, looks like this section is a little slow this week, maybe they got their money and live "happily ever after", I can always dream the members are treated good by the insurance companies. Nice to meet you, peace!
